The Advanced Resuscitation course is a course designed for experienced first aiders who use specific equipment and often work in higher risk environments. This course develops advanced skills for providing life support and focuses on the use of oxygen delivery systems and in-depth knowledge and skill in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED).
Assessment is through a combination of practical first aid activities and a written test paper. You will be required to demonstrate CPR on a manikin on the floor.

Assessment
- Practical : CPR, advanced resuscitation skills, use of automated external defibrillator, use of oxygen delivery system
Learning Methods:
Demonstration of practical skills‚ participation in role-plays, analysis of case studies and an assessment of your theoretical knowledge.
Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the adult manikin on the floor.

This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), remote area first aid, the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Hence, a diploma in first aid will certify the learner to undertake the duties and job of a first aid provider. Our instructors are trained first aid providers, therefore, apply for first aid course (NSTA) to gain a diploma.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings, NSTA can offer the following first aid courses in our professional training centres or in your own workplace.
