What role is the training for?

A close protection operative provides security services to people rather than property. These people may be politicians, musicians, celebrities or VIPs. The main task is to protect their safety.

A close protection operative or bodyguard requires a licence. You can only get that licence after successfully completing this course. And only a registered training organisation (RTO) can provide the course. We are a training provider that is an RTO.

This is a qualification that suits people who want to specialise in close protection. It can also lead to further learning and jobs in other security roles such as security risk management.

Bodyguards usually work in a team with limited supervision. They are responsible for what they do and have some limited responsibility for what others in the team do.

The provision of close protection is in constant demand, so doing bodyguard training provides a clear pathway to jobs in:

  • Court Security
  • Correctional Services A
  • Australian Customs
  • Bodyguards

NSTA™ SECURITY OPERATIONS COURSES :

The courses include security operation training with certificate II & III, certificate IV and diploma in security and risk management and the investigative services course leading to certificate III.
